What this site is

FixiTriage publishes diagnostic guides for common home and appliance problems, covering garage doors, water heaters, roofing, drywall, garbage disposals, and washer/dryer/refrigerator error codes. Guides are written and reviewed as described on our editorial guidelines page, moving from the simplest likely cause toward the most likely one, with a safety check before any hands-on step.

No warranty

Guides are provided for informational purposes only, on an "as is" basis. Appliances, wiring, plumbing and roofing vary by make, model, age and local code, and a general guide can't account for every situation. Where a repair carries real safety risk, such as a broken garage door spring or gas appliance work, the guide says so and points you toward a licensed technician instead of walking through the steps. We aren't responsible for injury, property damage or further appliance damage that results from attempting a repair based on this content instead of consulting a qualified professional.

Not a substitute for a professional

This site doesn't provide repair services, referrals or emergency advice. For anything involving gas lines, electrical panels, structural work, or a task a guide flags as unsafe for DIY, contact a licensed technician or contractor.

The text, design and organization of this site belong to FixiTriage unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to read, print or link to pages for personal, non-commercial use. Reproducing substantial portions elsewhere without permission isn't allowed. Appliance brand names referenced in guides (Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Frigidaire and others) belong to their respective owners; FixiTriage is an independent reference site and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by those manufacturers.
